Andriyanov Petr Nikolayevich (1916-1995)
A pupil of I. Grabar and S.Gerasimov. Worked in impressionistic manner. He obtained his initial education at Moscow Art School named after the year 1905 (1937–39). At a summarizing young exhibition his works were noted by the director of Moscow Art Institute I.Grabar. Impressed by the artist's gift I.Grabar decided to help him and soon he was admitted to Moscow Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov without examinations. During the war the institute was evacuated to Samarkand. In Samarkand Andrianov studied with future famous artists V. Tsigal, K.Akseonov, I. Rodoman, V.Pereyaslavets. In 1948 he graduated from the institute with the diploma of honour. His degree work was "Lenin in Smolniy". Since 1954 he participated in the exhibitions. In the1950-1960s he created series of painting describing socialistic building "At the map of GOELRO", "Unloading wharf", "Kahovskay hydro-electric power station", "Portrait of the Hero of Socialistic Labour concrete worker S. Nikulin" and also depicting theme of Lenin's life "Spring in Gorki", "Lenin in Gorki", etc. But later he developed into an artist of a chamber character. In his landscapes you can see the peaceful beauty of native nature. Andrianov's pictures are presented at the regional picture galleries of Novosibirsk and Tula and in private collections in Russia, Germany, France and England.
