Leonid Shishkin Gallery was founded 25 years ago and was one of the first private galleries in Moscow. The gallery specialises in 20th century Russian art, exhibiting the works of prominent Soviet artists of the era. Since its foundation, Leonid Shishkin Gallery has held over thirty exhibitions worldwide. Its acclaimed collection of art has also been showcased at the Milano Internazionale Antiquariato as well as the Russian Art Fair in London. Leonid Shishkin Gallery has been supplying first class Soviet pieces at its auctions for over a decade, setting records by selling the "Departing of Peter the Great from the Ball at the Lefort House" by Alexander Benois for $555,000. One of its many exhibitions was visited by Barack Obama at the residence of the U.S. Russian ambassador, Spaso House. The gallery also holds long-term partnerships with the American Women's Association and Action for Russia's Children (ARC).
