Zausayev Alexey Aleksandrovich

Zausaev Alexey Alexandrovich is widely recognized for his Ural landscapes.

Zausaev graduated from the Sverdlovsk art college named after Ivan  Shadr (1945), and after that from the Surikov’s Moscow State Art Institute (1951), where he was taught by  Y.P. Kugan and V.V. Pochitalov.

The artist lived and worked in Sverdlovsk, participating in exhibitions since 1951. Zausaev created such notable thematic pieces as the “Singer of the Ural” (1952), the “Ural masters (The Urals Past)” (1957) and the “Visitors to Vladimir I. Lenin”.

Zausayev taught painting at the Sverdlovsk Art College and the Sverdlovsk Architecture Institute. His personal exhibitions took place in Sverdlovsk, Kharkov, Kursk and Yaroslavl in 1962, in Moscow, Kujbyshev and Kaliningrad in 1963, and in Sverdlovsk in 1971. His pictures are represented in the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Nizhniy Tagil State Museum of Fine Arts, the United Museum of the Ural Writers in Ekaterinburg, the Smolensk Regional Museum of Fine and Applied Arts, and the Astrakhan State Art Gallery.
