Neyasov Vassily Andreevich

Vasili Neyasov was born in Saransk, on the river Volga. He is a representative of the Volga School of painting. From 1951 he lived and worked in Chelyabinsk, the centre of the industrial Ural. He was a genre and landscape painter. He also explored a historical-revolutionary theme in his work. The artist participated in numerous All-Union exhibitions, as well as one-man shows. After the painter’s death the value of his pictures has been continually increasing. Today Neyasov’s works are displayed in the famous Ural museums and in private collections in Italy, France, Czecho-Slovakia and Germany.
