Konchalovsky Petr Petrovich

Konchalovsky  studied at the studio of Raevska-Ivanova in Kharkov, the Stroganov Art and Technical Institute in Moscow (from 1889), the Académie Julian, Paris (1896-1897) in the classes of Laurence and Benjamin-Konstant, and at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1898-1907) in the classes of Tvorozhnikov, Savinsky and Kovalevsky.
From 1908 Konchalovsky was a member of different artistic groups. He was the founder and president of the Jack of Diamonds group from 1910. The artist participated in exhibitions, such as the World of Art, the Golden Fleece, Union of Youth, Jack of Diamonds, Being, AKhRR and numerous exhibitions in Paris.
He took part in expeditions organized by the The Golden Fleece journal.
The artist designed sets for operas by Zimin (1812-1914).
He taught at the SVOMAS (Free Workshop) in 1918-1921, and the VKhUTEMAS (High State Art and Technical Workshops) in 1926-1929.
He had personal shows in Moscow in 1922, 1927-1930 and in Paris in 1925.
